<p><strong>Role Summary</strong></p> <p>We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial <strong>Business Development Manager</strong> to spearhead our Hong Kong entry. As our first local hire, you will drive business growth, build client relationships, and help shape Toku’s go-to-market strategy in the region. This role is ideal for a motivated self-starter with experience in cloud communications or enterprise software, excellent knowledge of the Hong Kong market, and a passion for technology-driven solutions.</p> <p></p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Strategy Development</strong>: Create and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to establish Toku’s presence in Hong Kong, particularly within the enterprise software, cloud communications, and customer engagement sectors.</li> <li><strong>Sales Growth</strong>: Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities, building a robust sales pipeline and meeting or exceeding quarterly revenue targets.</li> <li><strong>Client and Partnership Management</strong>: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in target companies, while also establishing strategic partnerships with technology firms, industry associations, and government bodies like HKSTP and Cyberport.</li> <li><strong>Market Insights and Product Alignment</strong>: Provide intelligence and insights from the market to inform product development and ensure Toku’s offerings meet local demand.</li> <li><strong>Brand Visibility</strong>: Represent Toku at industry events, networking opportunities, and forums to increase visibility and establish the company as a respected player in Hong Kong’s tech ecosystem.</li> <li><strong>Cross-Collaboration</strong>: Work closely with our Singapore headquarters to align Hong Kong’s local strategies with Toku’s broader objectives.</li> <li><strong>Operational Oversight</strong>: Manage the day-to-day operations of our Hong Kong presence, including administrative tasks and compliance requirements.</li> </ul> <p></p> <p><strong>Key Qualifications and Skills</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Experience and Track Record</strong>: 5+ years of business development experience in B2B software or technology sales, with a proven record of exceeding sales targets, preferably in Hong Kong.</li> <li><strong>Market Knowledge</strong>: Strong understanding of Hong Kong’s tech and enterprise software sectors, as well as the regulatory landscape.</li> <li><strong>Communication and Negotiation</strong>: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels.</li> <li><strong>Language Skills</strong>: Fluency in English and Cantonese; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.</li> <li><strong>Educational Background</strong>: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.</li> <li><strong>Tech Proficiency</strong>: Familiarity with CRM software (Preferably HubSpot) and proficiency in the MS Office suite.</li> <li><strong>Self-Starter and Team Player</strong>: A proactive, independent approach with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a global team.</li> </ul> <p></p> <p><strong>What We Offer</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Career Growth</strong>: An opportunity to be a foundational member of Toku’s Hong Kong team, with career growth aligned to regional expansion.</li> <li><strong>Leadership Exposure</strong>: Direct collaboration with Toku’s leadership team, influencing market strategies and growth initiatives.</li> <li><strong>Competitive Package</strong>: Base salary, performance-based incentives, and ESOPs as part of Toku’s commitment to rewarding and retaining top talent.</li> </ul> <p></p> <p><strong>If you would love to experience working in a fast-growing technology scale-up, and you think you tick most of the requirements, come join us!</strong></p>
